Senior Regional Engineer, Industrial Label Printer

Job Summary

• Responsible for providing technical support and guidance to end customers as well as the engineers in the region.

Key Accountabilities

• Understand new products through attending training and learning from various internal sources.
• Prepare training materials and training calendar.
• Organise and conduct training programs to fellow engineers in the region.
• Evaluate the engineers’ capabilities through regular tests.
• Point of contract for all the technical related escalation from the region.
• Simulate problems and provide suitable solutions.
• Engage headquarters for technical related matters.
• Monitor and maintain sufficient repair parts both in RHQ as well as in the region.
• Prepare regular reports as well as ad-hoc reports.
• Plan and execute technical related operational procedures and processes such as Service Level Agreement, Service Partner Guidelines, etc.
• Close collaboration with team members such as Pre-sales, Product Manager & Sales.

1) Job / Skills Competencies

• Strong conceptual, analytical and rationale thinking is critical.
• A good team-player – able to work with diverse nationality & culture and cross function collaboration.
• Able to troubleshoot and analyse product hardware failure down to component level.
• Knowledge of industry applications related to printing.
• Basic colour management knowledge.
• Presentation skills.

2) Critical Work Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience performing technical “break & fix” role.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a technical trainer or advisor.

3) Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering field or equivalent.
