Job description

About the role

This is a marketing role supporting Audiolab’s growth by translating the company’s brand and commercial priorities into coordinated marketing campaigns, patient education initiatives, digital content, branch activations, and community partnerships. The role is responsible for strengthening brand awareness and trust, generating qualified enquiries and appointments, supporting branch performance, and maintaining a consistent Audiolab experience across online and offline touchpoints.

This is a hands-on execution role. The successful candidate must be able to plan, coordinate, and deliver campaigns while using data to evaluate results and improve future marketing activities.

Key responsibilities

Brand Strategy and Campaign Execution

  • Support the development and implementation of annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with Audiolab’s brand, retail, clinical and business priorities.
  • Translate business objectives into integrated campaigns across digital platforms, email, print, branches, hospitals, community channels and relevant partnerships.
  • Define the intended audience, campaign message, offer, channel plan, timeline, budget and measurable outcome for each assigned campaign.
  • Coordinate campaign briefs, creative assets, approvals, production and rollout, ensuring timely delivery across all relevant branches and channels.
  • Maintain a marketing calendar covering campaigns, health-awareness moments, product activity, events, partnerships and branch requirements.

Brand Management and Patient Education

  • Maintain consistent use of Audiolab’s brand identity, tone of voice, key messages and service positioning across marketing materials and customer touchpoints.
  • Develop clear, responsible and accessible content that improves public understanding of hearing health, hearing assessments, hearing technology and Audiolab’s services.
  • Work with Senior Audiologists and internal subject-matter experts to verify clinical or technical content before publication.
  • Review branch signage, displays, brochures and promotional materials and coordinate updates where brand or information gaps are identified.
  • Support reputation management by monitoring online reviews and coordinating appropriate, timely responses with the relevant branch or department.

Digital Marketing and Content

  • Plan and coordinate content for Audiolab’s website, social media, email and other digital channels.
  • Develop campaign and content briefs for copy, photography, video, design and paid media, working with internal teams and external partners where required.
  • Manage or coordinate paid digital campaigns, including audience targeting, budgets, tracking and optimisation, within approved authority.
  • Support local search visibility and maintain accurate branch information across websites, map listings and relevant online directories.
  • Monitor enquiries, comments and campaign responses and ensure qualified leads are routed promptly to the correct branch or responsible team.
  • Use available analytics and advertising tools to measure reach, engagement, traffic, leads, appointment enquiries, cost efficiency and conversion.

Branch and Local Area Marketing

  • Work with branch leaders to understand local market needs, patient profiles, referral opportunities, competitive activity and performance gaps.
  • Develop practical local-area marketing plans for priority branches, including community outreach, partnerships, events, referral activity and geographically targeted campaigns.
  • Provide branches with approved campaign materials, execution guidance and timelines, and follow up on implementation quality.
  • Track branch-level results and recommend adjustments based on enquiries, appointments, footfall, conversion and sales contribution where data is available.

Events Partnerships and Community Engagement

  • Plan and execute appropriate branch, community, corporate, professional and product-related events that support hearing awareness, lead generation or customer engagement.
  • Coordinate event objectives, budgets, venues, vendors, staffing, materials, equipment, participant communication and post-event follow-up.
  • Develop partnerships with relevant local businesses, community organisations, healthcare stakeholders, professional groups, employers and suitable content creators.
  • Evaluate events and partnerships using attendance, qualified leads, appointments, sales contribution, feedback and cost effectiveness rather than activity volume alone.

Customer Engagement and CRM

  • Support customer-engagement and retention initiatives, including educational communication, service reminders, referral programmes and approved promotional offers.
  • Work with branch and operational teams to improve lead follow-up and identify gaps between marketing enquiries, booked appointments and completed visits.
  • Segment available customer or enquiry data responsibly to improve campaign relevance, subject to Audiolab’s privacy and data-handling requirements.
  • Gather customer feedback and campaign insights and translate them into practical improvements to messaging, service communication and the customer journey.

Market Research and Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor hearing-care, healthcare, retail and consumer trends relevant to Audiolab’s customers and growth priorities.
  • Track competitor positioning, promotions, content, branch presence, partnerships and customer experience and maintain a structured record of material observations.
  • Conduct or coordinate simple customer, branch and market research and present clear implications and recommended actions to Management.

Budget Management Reporting and Governance

  • Prepare campaign and event budgets, obtain approval before commitment, and track expenditure against the approved allocation.
  • Maintain accurate records of quotations, approvals, purchase requirements, campaign assets and vendor deliverables.
  • Prepare concise monthly marketing reports covering completed activity, spend, results, insights, issues and next actions.
  • Track marketing effectiveness using agreed measures such as qualified enquiries, appointment bookings, cost per lead, conversion, branch traffic, engagement and attributed revenue where measurable.
  • Ensure marketing materials and claims comply with Audiolab’s approval process, brand requirements and applicable advertising, privacy and professional standards.
  • Perform other reasonable marketing responsibilities assigned by Management in support of Audiolab’s business objectives.

Marketing Reporting & Performance Dashboard

  • Prepare and submit a concise weekly marketing report summarising campaigns and activities completed, work in progress, upcoming priorities, key results and matters requiring Management’s attention.
  • Maintain a monthly marketing performance dashboard covering agreed KPIs across brand, digital, campaign, event, customer engagement and branch-support activities.
  • Track key indicators including campaign reach and engagement, website traffic, lead generation, qualified enquiries, appointment bookings, conversion outcomes, campaign and event costs, and return on marketing investment.
  • Work with branch, sales, operations and relevant team members to obtain and validate the information required for reporting.
  • Compare actual performance against targets, budgets and previous periods, highlighting significant variances and their likely causes.
  • Translate performance data into clear insights and practical recommendations for Management.
  • Ensure reports and dashboards are accurate, current and submitted within agreed timelines.
  • Present the monthly dashboard to Management when required and follow through on agreed actions and improvement priorities.

Reporting Frequency

  • Weekly report: Submitted by the agreed working day each week.
  • Monthly dashboard: Submitted within the first five working days of the following month, unless otherwise directed by Management.

Key Working Relationships

  • Internal: COO, Management, Audiologists, Branch Executives, Retail and Government business teams, People and Culture, Finance, Customer Service and other support functions.
  • External: creative and media third party, designers, printers, event vendors, business and community partners, healthcare stakeholders and approved content creators or influencers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in retail, healthcare, consumer or agency environments.
  • Experience in planning and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, social media and analytics tools.
  • Good communication, content creation and reporting skills.
  • Proactive, organised, creative and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with branches and Management.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Valid driving licence, own transport and willingness to travel to Audiolab branches and events.
  • Willing to support occasional events outside normal working hours.
