GROUP HEAD FINANCE AND CORPORATE

This role reports to the Regional Financial Controller and works closely with the Executive Director.

Job Description

• Responsible for the year-end and quarterly FINANCIAL REPORTING processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting output.

• Preparing and managing the Group’s CONSOLIDATED ACCOUNTS incorporating statement of financial position, income and cash flow statements.

• Review results to ensure integrity of accounts, understanding and able to explain key movements and variances.

• Timely and accurate preparation of all financial information in the Annual Report.

• Responsible for all audit process, ensure deadlines are met and accurate information is provided to the Group’s auditors on time.

• Assist in the coordination of annual audits and review activities with the external auditors.

• Overseeing the preparation of quarterly FINANCIAL REPORTING information and announcements to BURSA MALAYSIA.

• Overseeing the preparation of the financial statements for the Group subsidiaries.

• Managing and preparing the Group’s CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL FINANCIAL plans and budget.

• Prepare Group financial reports and other related information on a quarterly basis for Board review.

• Prepare and review actual versus forecast and budget analysis for Board review on a quarterly basis.

• Ensuring the Group remains fully compliant with all applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Implement and maintain REPORTING PROCEDURES to comply with the applicable accounting policies & standards, regulatory requirements as well as internal control requirements.

• Advising on the technical accounting and reporting implications on the Group.

• Group cash flow management and forecasting.

• Liaising closely with external auditors, tax consultants, bankers and solicitors on all Group matters.

• Liaising with banks to arrange financing facilities when needed.

• Assist in financial and corporate exercises as required.

• Work closely with management teams across the Group subsidiaries.

Job Qualifications

• Possess a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MIA).

• Firm understanding of all MFRS and keeping pace with their constant updates.

• Strong background in statutory reporting with good technical accounting skills and an understanding of tax principles.

• 15 years minimum working experience in the financial field with at least 10 years in a managerial corporate capacity.

• Working experience in a public listed company is needed.

• Good communication skills both written and verbal.

• Able to meet tight deadlines.

• Analytical mind and a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to develop strong working relationships.
