Full Time Head of Logistics Jobs, in BTI Executive Search Federal Territory - Maukerja

Our client, a leading retailer in Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Head of Logistics to lead end-to-end logistics operations, covering warehousing, transportation, distribution, import/export, international freight, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery.

The role will be responsible for building efficient, cost-effective, compliant, and scalable logistics operations while maintaining strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's overall logistics strategy in line with business objectives.
• Lead warehouse, transportation, distribution, import/export, and last-mile delivery operations.
• Manage international shipments, freight forwarding, customs clearance, shipping documentation, and trade compliance.
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, 3PL providers, and logistics partners.
• Optimize logistics routes, warehouse capacity, transportation costs, and delivery schedules.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers, ensuring service requirements and delivery commitments are met.
• Act as the key logistics contact for clients, providing shipment updates and resolving operational issues.
• Manage 3PL and logistics vendors, including contracts, pricing, SLAs, and performance.
• Drive logistics cost optimization while maintaining service and customer experience.
• Monitor KPIs including on-time delivery, fulfillment accuracy, logistics cost, shipment lead time, inventory accuracy, and service performance.
• Ensure accurate import/export documentation and compliance with applicable customs and trade regulations.
• Drive process improvements and effective use of systems, and logistics technology.
• Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Sales, Merchandising, and E-commerce teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant logistics/supply chain experience, including senior leadership responsibility.
• Strong experience in import/export, international freight, customs clearance, and trade documentation.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, e-commerce, or multi-site distribution preferred.
• Proven experience managing 3PLs, freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics vendors.
• Strong track record in cost optimization, process improvement, and KPI management.
• Excellent client management and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good knowledge of logistics systems.
• Commercially driven with a strong focus on customer service and operational excellence.
