Job Description
Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities:
Sand vehicle body panels using both power and hand tools to achieve smooth surfaces
Perform body filler (putty) application and panel beating to repair dents and surface damages
Mask non-paintable areas with tape and protective materials before spraying
Apply primer, base coat, and top coat using a spray gun
Mix and match paint colors or use pre-mixed paint as required
Sand between coats and perform necessary touch-ups to ensure a smooth, high-quality finish
Polish painted surfaces and apply rustproofing and protective sealants
Occasionally create or apply decals, artwork, or signage to vehicle surfaces
Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE and safe work practices when working at height
Job Requirements:
Relevant experience in automotive spray painting and body filler work
Skilled in spray gun operation, sanding, and surface preparation
Responsible, hardworking, and physically fit
Able to work in a paint shop environment (exposure to fumes and dust, with ventilation)
Must comply with all company safety policies
Willing to work overtime or assist during urgent repairs when required
