We are looking for a motivated and analytical Junior Market Analyst to join our team. This role suits candidates interested in international commodity trading and market analysis, aiming to build a career in trading.
Responsibilities
Monitor and analyse commodity market trends, prices, supply, and demand to inform trading decisions
Conduct market research and prepare detailed market updates and reports for internal stakeholders
Gather and analyse market information from relevant markets to support strategic insights
Provide market intelligence and analysis to assist the trading team in decision-making
Communicate effectively with market contacts, suppliers, and business partners to maintain strong relationships
Assist with various trading and market-related tasks to support overall business operations
Required competencies and certifications
Ability to travel to developing countries for field surveillance to gather market data and insights
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Codex to prepare basic reports and conduct market analysis
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, International Trade, Marketing, or related field
Some experience or exposure to commodity trading
Strong analytical, research, and communication skills
Demonstrated interest in commodity markets and international trading
Willingness to learn, proactive attitude, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced trading environment
