About the role

We are seeking a talented Content Creator to join the marketing and communications team at Ombak Pantai Holidays. This is a full-time position based in Setiu, Terengganu, where you will play a vital role in developing and executing our digital content strategy. As a Content Creator, you will be responsible for producing engaging, high-quality content across multiple digital platforms to enhance our brand presence, drive customer engagement, and support our business objectives in the competitive tourism and hospitality sector.

Key responsibilities

• Create and produce compelling visual and written content for social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other digital channels

• Develop creative content calendars and strategies aligned with seasonal campaigns and business objectives

• Capture high-quality photographs and video content of our resort facilities, activities, guest experiences and local attractions

• Edit and optimise content for different digital platforms, ensuring brand consistency and maximum engagement

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted content for promotional campaigns and special offers

• Monitor social media performance metrics and analytics to measure content effectiveness and inform future strategies

• Research trending topics, hashtags and digital marketing best practices to keep content fresh and relevant

• Respond to comments and messages on social media channels to build community engagement

• Produce blog posts, website content and email marketing materials that highlight our offerings and destination appeal

• Work with external stakeholders, influencers and travel partners to create collaborative content opportunities

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Content Creator, Social Media Specialist or similar digital marketing role, preferably within the tourism, hospitality or travel industry

• Strong proficiency with content creation tools and software, including photo and video editing applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar platforms

• Demonstrated expertise in managing and growing social media accounts with knowledge of platform-specific best practices

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging, persuasive copy for diverse audiences

• Creative thinking with a strong eye for visual aesthetics and design principles

• Understanding of digital marketing strategies, SEO basics and how content supports broader marketing objectives

• Proficiency in using analytics tools to track performance and derive actionable insights

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to evolving digital trends and platform requirements

• Basic knowledge of HTML or content management systems is advantageous

• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus
