We are seeking an Industrial Engineer with strong hands-on experience in tooling, equipment, workstation, and production-line layout within a PCBA, semiconductor, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing environment.
The role will focus on optimizing factory layout, tooling placement, material flow, workstation design, line balancing, capacity, and space utilization to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize tooling, equipment, workstation, and production-line layouts.
- Develop layouts based on process flow, takt time, capacity, manpower, production volume, and material flow.
- Plan and implement tooling and fixture placement to improve operator efficiency and accessibility.
- Conduct line balancing, time & motion studies, cycle-time analysis, and capacity planning.
- Optimize material flow, operator movement, WIP, and floor-space utilization.
- Support new line setup, factory expansion, equipment relocation, and production ramp-up.
- Prepare and maintain 2D/3D layout drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent CAD tools.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Process, Equipment, Quality, Facilities, EHS, and Production teams.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement projects.
- Support tooling/workstation design with consideration for ergonomics, ESD, safety, cleanroom, and manufacturing requirements.
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify capacity constraints, bottlenecks, productivity opportunities, and cost savings.
- Drive layout projects from concept, planning, implementation through production readiness.
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Proven hands-on experience with tooling and factory/production-floor layout.
- Experience in PCBA, semiconductor, electronics, EMS, or similar manufacturing environments.

- Experience in SMT, DIP/THT, PCBA assembly, inspection, or testing.
- Semiconductor backend assembly / test manufacturing experience.
- Experience with cleanroom and ESD-controlled manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting new factory setup, line transfer, factory expansion, or site relocation.
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen / 5S.
- Experience with factory simulation or digital manufacturing tools.
- Experience with MES / ERP / SAP.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Industrial Engineer who can walk the manufacturing floor, understand the process and tooling requirements, create or modify the layout, identify inefficiencies, and work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
Strong preference for candidates who have personally executed tooling and production-floor layout projects in a PCBA or semiconductor manufacturing site.
