Role Description The Recovery Support Coach is a full-time, on-site role based in Cyberjaya, providing direct recovery support to individuals living with substance and behavioral addictions. In this role, the coach offers one-on-one peer support, facilitates recovery groups, and helps clients develop personalized recovery plans and relapse prevention strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring client progress, documenting sessions, coordinating with clinical teams, and supporting clients in building healthy routines and coping skills. The coach will also assist in delivering training and psychoeducation sessions, participate in case discussions, and contribute to creating a safe, compassionate, and structured environment. Collaboration with multidisciplinary professionals and adherence to ethical and confidentiality standards are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Peer Support and Recovery Coaching, with the ability to build trust and provide empathetic, non-judgmental support.
  • Knowledge and experience in Addiction Recovery, including understanding of treatment modalities, recovery pathways, and relapse prevention.
  • Coaching and Training abilities to guide clients in setting goals, developing life skills, and participating in educational or group sessions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Relevant certification or training in addiction counseling, recovery coaching, psychology, social work, or a related field; lived experience in recovery is an added advantage.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries, uphold confidentiality, and follow organizational policies and ethical guidelines.
  • Comfort working in a structured on-site rehabilitation environment in Cyberjaya, with flexibility to support clients during varied hours as needed.
