Assistant Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and Project Managers in the coordination and execution of engineering and project activities.
• Support site installation, testing, inspection, commissioning and related engineering works.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining engineering documents, technical drawings, reports and project records.
• Coordinate with internal project teams, contractors, suppliers and clients on technical and site matters.
• Monitor project progress and assist in ensuring works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Support troubleshooting and basic technical problem-solving activities.
• Assist with the coordination of materials, equipment and resources required for project activities.
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with company procedures, workplace safety requirements and client requirements.
• Attend site meetings, technical discussions and project coordination meetings when required.
• Provide general engineering and project support as assigned by the Engineer, Project Manager or Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles and ability to understand technical drawings will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other relevant engineering software will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to learn and undergo on the job training.
• Good communication, coordination and problem solving skills.
• Responsible, organised and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Able to attend project and customer sites when required.
• Interest or exposure to semiconductor, engineering, M&E or related project environments will be an advantage.
