Role Summary:  

The Storage & Backup Engineer is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of storage, backup, and object storage platforms within the customer's infrastructure environment. The role ensures platform reliability, data protection, operational efficiency, and service availability.  

Key Responsibilities:  

Storage Administration  

• Administer and support HPE Alletra storage platforms.  

• Perform storage provisioning, LUN creation, mapping, and capacity management.  

• Monitor storage utilization and performance.  

• Support storage maintenance and upgrade activities.  

Backup & Object Storage Management  

• Administer Cloudian object storage environments.  

• Manage buckets, users, policies, and platform upgrades.  

• Support backup and recovery operations using Veeam Kasten.  

• Validate backup integrity and recovery procedures.  

Infrastructure Operations  

• Configure and maintain HPE ToR switch connectivity supporting storage environments.  

• Troubleshoot storage and network-layer connectivity issues.  

• Manage incidents, changes, service requests, and root cause analyses.  

Platform Maintenance  

• Conduct proactive health checks and monitoring.  

• Support patching and maintenance activities.  

• Maintain operational documentation and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:  

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.  

• 3-5 years of relevant storage and backup administration experience.  

• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise storage and backup platforms.  

• Experience working within enterprise or managed services environments.  

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.  

• Ability to manage operational activities independently.
