Job Description
Responsibilities
UWCSEA is looking for a Teacher of High School Economics to join its Dover campus in August 2027.
The successful candidate will teach IB Diploma Economics in Grades 11 and 12 alongside opportunities to teach our bespoke UWCSEA Economics and Social Enterprise courses in Grades 9 and 10.
The Economics and Business Department is a team composed of enthusiastic and dynamic teachers who work in a very well-resourced environment for learning. Teachers are actively engaging in resource development across each of the UWC courses. Collectively the team is striving to ensure all students can access learning and excel to the best of their abilities.
Experience in and enthusiasm for offering IB Diploma Theory of Knowledge, or Business Management would be an advantage but is not essential. The actual determination of classes will be dependent on the skill set of the appointee, the needs of our students and timetabling requirements.
Main Responsibilities
It should be noted that the College is a dynamic and high-energy environment: the rewards are high – but so are the demands on teacher time and expectations of engagement.
