Job Description
Responsibilities
- Establish the company's finance, accounting, internal control and management reporting framework from the ground up.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, working-capital management and financial performance analysis.
- Develop financial models for machinery trading, commission-based transactions, project profitability, pricing and margin analysis.
- Establish management reporting and KPI dashboards to support commercial and operational decision-making.
- Oversee accounting, month-end and year-end closing, financial statements, corporate tax and statutory compliance in Singapore.
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory-related transactions and fixed-asset/capital expenditure controls where applicable.
- Develop appropriate costing methodologies for equipment, refurbishment, logistics and project-related expenditure.
- Provide financial analysis for international machinery transactions, including commercial terms, supplier/customer payment structures, foreign-currency exposure and transaction profitability.
- Establish appropriate financial processes and controls as the company scales its operations.
- Lead or support the implementation and integration of accounting/ERP systems, including financial master data, reporting structures and operational data interfaces.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, corporate secretaries, tax advisers, banks and other professional service providers.
- Partner closely with management on business planning, investment evaluation, commercial risk and regional expansion.
- Provide finance business-partner support to commercial, procurement and operational functions, translating financial information into practical business recommendations.
