• 1. Job Purpose

To support the Sustainability Department in collecting, monitoring, analysing and maintaining sustainability and ESG-related data arising from the Company's steel manufacturing operations.

The intern will gain practical exposure to environmental and sustainability practices, including energy and water consumption, waste management, greenhouse gas emissions, resource efficiency, ESG data collection, sustainability reporting and environmental performance monitoring.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Sustainability & ESG Data Collection

· Assist in collecting and compiling sustainability and ESG-related data from various departments and manufacturing facilities.

· Collect and maintain data relating to energy consumption, electricity usage, fuel consumption, water consumption, waste generation, recycling and other relevant environmental indicators.

· Assist in verifying and reconciling data received from different departments to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Maintain proper records and supporting documents for sustainability data and reporting purposes.

· Assist in tracking monthly and yearly sustainability performance against established targets and KPIs.

· Formulate & support initiatives related to energy, waste and water reduction efficiency.

B. ESG & Sustainability Reporting

· Assist in preparing and updating sustainability and ESG-related reports, presentations, dashboards and data summaries.

· Support the preparation of information required for internal management reporting and sustainability disclosures.

· Assist in researching relevant ESG and sustainability developments, industry practices and reporting requirements.

· Support the collection of information required for sustainability assessments, questionnaires and customer requirements.

C. Sustainability Improvement Projects

· Assist in sustainability-related projects and initiatives implemented by the Company.

· Support projects relating to energy efficiency, waste reduction, recycling, water conservation and carbon reduction.

· Assist in collecting baseline data and monitoring the results of sustainability improvement initiatives.

· Participate in sustainability awareness campaigns and employee engagement activities.

Pay: RM600.00 - RM800.00 per month
