Responsibilities

Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Location: Malaysia (HQ & Field-Based)
Department: Human Resources
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Head of Human Resources / HR Manager

About the Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) partners with Operations to support business growth through effective people management. This role provides HR guidance to operational leaders, ensures compliance with employment legislation, and drives initiatives across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Partner with Operations leaders on workforce planning and people strategies.
  • Provide HR advice and support on operational and employee matters.
  • Support new store openings and business expansion initiatives.

Employee Relations

  • Manage disciplinary matters, misconduct investigations, grievances, and performance issues.
  • Advise managers on fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and internal policies.

Talent & Performance

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, probation, and succession planning.
  • Coach managers on performance management and employee development.
  • Identify training needs and support learning initiatives.

Engagement & Culture

  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Build positive relationships with employees and operational leaders.
  • Promote a high-performance and collaborative work culture.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Monitor HR metrics including headcount, turnover, absenteeism, and recruitment.
  • Prepare HR reports and recommend improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure audit readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably in retail, F&B, or multi-site operations.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to travel between stores when required.
  • Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,800.00 per month
