Responsibilities

Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with a Professional Services organisation to hire an Accountant. This opportunity is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, supporting a regional accounting function with a focus on Singapore-incorporated entities.


Position Overview

Provide accounting, financial reporting and compliance support for Singapore-incorporated companies within a regional service delivery environment.

Play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance and exceptional client service across multiple engagements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare full sets of accounts, bookkeeping records, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules for review.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, quarterly reporting packages and year-end financial statements in accordance with relevant Singapore reporting standards.
  • Support audit engagements through the preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of corporate tax computations and indirect tax filings.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records across multiple accounting platforms and support system implementation, onboarding and data migration projects.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to support ad hoc financial reporting, reconciliations and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and professional standards.


Key Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in full-set accounting and financial reporting.
  • Experience within an outsourced accounting, shared services, business services or regional finance environment would be advantageous.
  • Professional qualification or partial qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MICPA or equivalent is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, double-entry accounting and financial reporting practices.
  • Experience working with external auditors and supporting statutory audit processes is an added advantage.
