Junior Observability Engineer is responsible for supporting monitoring, telemetry, alerting, dashboards, and operational insight for applications, platforms, and infrastructure. Guided by our purpose, “always with you, building a more confident future,” and our New Frontier strategy focused on stronger growth, attractive returns, and all-weather performance, this is an exciting opportunity to improve service visibility, strengthen incident detection and investigation, and help technology teams make evidence-based reliability decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, queries, alerts, and operational views using approved observability platforms, with clear service context, ownership, routing, and runbook information.
- Coordinate the onboarding and validation of logs, metrics, traces, events, synthetic results, and service metadata for approved applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
- Analyze alert quality, telemetry gaps, duplicate or noisy events, performance trends, and service behavior, and support evidence-based tuning and remediation.
- Provide telemetry-based support for incident investigation, problem analysis, production-readiness reviews, service-health reporting, and monitoring of observability data flows and components.
- Maintain configurations, test evidence, support documentation, and ownership records while complying with applicable MetLife monitoring, security, privacy, access, change, data-handling, and local-country requirements.
