The Purpose of Your Role

As the Regional Accountant, you are primarily responsible for the accurate recording, tracking, and management of accounts receivable for the regional team. Reporting directly to the Regional Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing the cash flow for the Group by ensuring timely invoicing, monitoring receivables, and following up on outstanding payments. Your efforts will be instrumental in maintaining strong client relationships, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring that the regional financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow Optimization

• Own the end-to-end accounts receivable lifecycle, from precise invoicing and quote generation to diligent collections and cash application.
• Drive cash flow performance by issuing Statements of Account (SOAs) and proactively engaging with clients to ensure timely payment.
• Deliver clear and insightful AR reporting, including cash forecasts and aging analysis, to guide management decisions.

2. Financial Reporting & Controls

• Execute crucial month-end close processes, including bank and intercompany reconciliations, to ensure the integrity of our regional balance sheet.
• Contribute directly to the regional consolidation and the preparation of the monthly management reporting package for leadership.
• Prepare the weekly cash report, providing a real-time view of our liquidity position.
• Reconcile and record sales transactions across online and offline platforms, ensuring accuracy between platform reports, payment gateway settlements, and accounting records
• Support month-end close for multi-channel revenue, including online platform fees, refunds, and chargebacks

3. Strategic Business Partnership

• Act as a trusted Finance Partner to Country Managers, Cluster Heads, and Commercial teams, serving as their go-to expert for financial inquiries.
• Lead in-depth analysis of revenue, invoicing, and collection trends to identify risks, uncover opportunities, and present findings in key business reviews.
• Review commercial contracts to ensure financial terms are robust, compliant with regional policy, and mitigate risk.

4. Process Improvement & Compliance

• Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing more efficient and accurate financial processes.
• Ensure strict compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing clear, accurate documentation and expert explanations.

Who We Want

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3-5+ years of comprehensive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in both Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (you are comfortable with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas).
• A highly analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with a knack for solving complex problems.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience handling revenue reconciliation across multiple sales channels, preferably including e-commerce, online platforms, POS, or digital payment channels.
• Familiarity with e-commerce, POS, and payment gateway systems, including how transaction data and settlements integrate with accounting software.
• Understanding of digital platform tax treatment, such as e-commerce VAT/GST and marketplace/platform withholding tax, across relevant jurisdictions.

Bonus Points For:

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, etc.) or actively pursuing one.
• Experience in a regional or multi-entity corporate environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to collaborate with and challenge senior business leaders.
