About the Roles

Join a manufacturing company specialising in valves components as a Sales Application Engineer / Steam Specialist based in Ang Mo Kio. This is a permanent position with a Monday to Friday schedule, 8.30am to 5.30pm, offering a basic salary of up to $6,500, Transport Allowance and Variable Bonus, together with a 5-day work week.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build strong customer relationships by providing engineering solutions, technical guidance, and pre-sales and post-sales support.
• Partner with the Sales team to understand customer needs, recommend suitable products or solutions, and manage expectations effectively.
• Diagnose technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose practical and cost-effective solutions.
• Engage customers’ engineering and maintenance teams in technical discussions on process, product, and engineering matters.
• Collaborate with the Technical Service Unit to implement appropriate engineering solutions while maintaining service standards.
• Deliver product demonstrations, sales presentations, and technical training to customers, prospects, and internal teams.
• Prepare technical or marketing materials when required.
• Monitor industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for product enhancements or new products.
• Liaise and negotiate with principals and suppliers on quotations, technical requirements, specifications, and suitable customer solutions.
• Source appropriate products from reliable local and overseas suppliers to strengthen and expand the company’s product range.
• Manage engineering projects from planning through completion, including technical discussions, customer and supplier coordination, and resolution of unexpected issues.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget, with relevant project information properly documented and stored.
• Coordinate joint customer visits with the Sales team and maintain clear communication with customers, suppliers, and principals.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Relevant experience as a Steam Specialist / Product Specialist, with strong knowledge of steam systems and related applications.
• Hands-on experience with steam traps and other steam-related products such as boilers, fluid control systems, valves, and related equipment.
• Experience conducting thermal audits and identifying opportunities for energy efficiency or system improvement.
• Possess a Class 3 Driving license.
