Core Job Responsibilities with Tekla

3D Modeling of Steel Structures

Build accurate digital models of beams, columns, braces, plates, and connections using Tekla Structures.

Shop & Erection Drawings

Generate detailed shop drawings for fabrication and erection drawings for site assembly directly from the Tekla model.

Connection Detailing

Apply and customize Tekla’s parametric connection libraries (bolted, welded, end plates) to ensure structural integrity.

Accuracy & Compliance

Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, industry codes, and safety standards. Precision is critical to avoid costly fabrication errors.

Coordination with Engineers & Project Managers

Collaborate to resolve design issues, verify dimensions, and align detailing with structural engineering requirements.

Reports & Material Lists

Produce bolt lists, material take-offs, and fabrication schedules to support procurement and production.

Clash Detection & Issue Resolution

Use Tekla’s clash detection tools to identify conflicts between steel members and other trades before construction begins.

Fabrication Data Export

Provide CNC data outputs for cutting, drilling, and welding machines, streamlining shop-floor operations.

Pay: $2,187.55 - $4,504.68 per month
