What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Influence

• Develop and shape technology strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Assess the current technology landscape to identify gaps, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Define recommendations for the organisation’s future-state technology environment.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their relevance, potential value and business impact.

Application Portfolio & Rationalisation

• Conduct application portfolio assessments across a complex enterprise technology environment.
• Evaluate applications based on business value, technical health, cost, risk, redundancy and strategic alignment.
• Recommend where the organisation should invest, modernise, consolidate or retire applications.
• Assess dependencies and implications across applications, platforms and business functions.

Strategic Advisory & Decision-Making

• Translate complex technology findings into clear business implications and actionable recommendations.
• Present strategic proposals and recommendations to C-level executives, senior technology leaders and business stakeholders.
• Build compelling business and technology cases to influence strategic decision-making.
• Work across technology and business functions to build alignment around strategic priorities.

Market & Technology Research

• Conduct market and technology research to identify industry trends, emerging technologies and potential opportunities.
• Benchmark the organisation’s technology capabilities against market developments and industry practices.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support long-term technology planning and investment decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in Technology Strategy, IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture or Digital Transformation.
• Proven experience developing technology strategies, technology roadmaps or future-state architectures.
• Experience in application portfolio assessment and/or application rationalisation.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technology landscapes.
• Ability to evaluate technology from both business and technical perspectives.
• Strong executive communication, presentation and storytelling skills.
• Comfortable presenting recommendations and influencing senior technology and business stakeholders.
• Experience in market research, technology assessment, benchmarking or emerging technology evaluation.
• Experience within Banking / Financial Services (BFSI) is an advantage.
