Our client is an established regional in the Chemical Manufacturing industry Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a HSE & Quality Engineer to join their team and support their growing business. They are located in the West.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and improve HSE and Quality Management Systems in line with applicable ISO standards and company requirements.
Promote workplace safety through regular communication, awareness activities and safe work practices.
Develop and implement HSE plans, procedures and programmes across plant operations.
Monitor compliance with WSH, environmental, operational and regulatory requirements, including relevant licences and permits.
Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to control workplace and operational hazards.
Manage incident reporting and investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective actions and lessons learned.
Monitor quality performance and KPIs, including defects, rework, process deviations and customer complaints.
Coordinate internal and external audits and support certification activities and follow-up actions.
Drive CAPA and quality improvement initiatives to address non-conformities and recurring issues.
Work closely with production and operational teams to improve process consistency, product quality, safety and compliance.
Maintain HSE and Quality documentation and records, while providing updates to management and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
Perform other duties and improvement projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma in Engineering, HSE, Environmental Management, Quality Management or a related discipline.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in HSE, Quality, HSEQ or Quality Management Systems
Skills in QMS implementation, maintenance, audit preparation and certification activities will be advantageous.
Knowledge of workplace safety practices, risk assessment, incident investigation and regulatory compliance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with relevant quality/HSE management systems or software.
