Job Description

Responsibilities

Company Description Atlas Workspace is a visual and verifiable workspace designed to help people understand research more effectively. The platform enables users to examine papers in depth, connect insights across their personal libraries, and discover related work in the broader literature. By structuring complex information, Atlas Workspace supports clearer thinking, better synthesis, and more reliable conclusions. The team is focused on building tools that make research more accessible, transparent, and collaborative for a wide range of disciplines.
Role Description The Research Associate Intern will support the development and refinement of Atlas Workspace’s research tools and content. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and summarizing academic papers, organizing and tagging research materials, and helping design structures that make research more understandable and searchable in the platform. The intern will collaborate with product and engineering team members to test features, provide feedback on user workflows, and identify gaps in coverage across different research domains. The role may also involve contributing to documentation, creating examples or case studies, and assisting with user research to better understand how researchers work with literature.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read, analyze, and synthesize academic papers across disciplines, with strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Experience with literature reviews, data gathering, or organizing research libraries using tools such as reference managers or note-taking apps.
  • Strong written communication skills for summarizing complex ideas clearly and concisely, and creating user-facing explanations or documentation.
  • Comfort working with digital tools and platforms; familiarity with basic data organization, tagging, or information architecture is an advantage.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a degree in a relevant field (e.g., information science, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, or related disciplines).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Singapore, with a proactive and curious mindset.
  • Interest in research workflows, open science, and improving how people explore and understand scholarly literature.
