Role Description

The Architectural Drafter (CAD & Revit) contract role is responsible for producing accurate architectural drawings and construction documentation for retail and multifamily projects. Working in a hybrid arrangement based in Greater Kuala Lumpur, with some work-from-home flexibility, the drafter will develop detailed plans, elevations, sections, and coordinated BIM models using Revit and CAD tools. Day-to-day tasks include translating design intent into permit-ready drawing sets, incorporating markups from architects, maintaining drawing standards, and aligning documentation with project workflows and templates. The role will also support multi-site rollouts by updating prototypes, preparing landlord and authority submission packages, and assisting with as-built documentation. Collaboration with design leads, coordination with production teammates across time zones, and adherence to quality and consistency standards are core responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings, with the ability to produce clear, buildable documentation.
• Solid understanding of Architecture and Planning principles, including layout development for retail and multifamily projects.
• Ability in precise technical Drawing, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Proficiency in Revit and CAD software for BIM modeling and 2D documentation.
• Experience preparing permit-ready drawing sets and coordinating with local codes and standards.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow established templates and workflows.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with distributed teams.
• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field; prior experience in an architectural production or drafting role is preferred.
• Familiarity with multi-site or portfolio-scale projects, retail rollouts, or scan-to-BIM workflows is an advantage.
