Job Description

This project investigates the use of 3D printed concrete structures for protection against impact loading conditions. The researcher is expected to develop a printing mix design to improve the material resistance and to optimize the structural design against high-rate loading conditions. 

The researcher is expected to 
•    conduct laboratory tests on mix designs
•    fabricate 3DPC specimens
•    conduct high impact tests on the specimens
•    perform FE numerical studies

Job Requirements

•    Possess a PhD degree in a relevant field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the following areas:
•    Concrete mix designs
•    Structural resilience analysis
•    Finite element modelling.
•    Strong written and spoken communications. 
•    Open to fixed term contract
