Managing Consultant – Permanent Recruitment, Singapore

NES Fircroft is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven leader to establish and grow a permanent recruitment business in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a developing market, build a high-performing team, and create a long-term growth strategy across specialist sectors outside of our established regional practices. This role offers significant autonomy, accountability, and career progression for an individual who thrives on building profitable recruitment operations from the ground up.

What Youll Be Doing

• Build & Grow a Permanent Recruitment Business: Establish and develop a successful permanent recruitment desk focused on sectors outside NES Fircrofts existing specialist regional practices, identifying and capitalising on new market opportunities across Singapore.
• Develop Sector Expertise: Build a strategic presence within chosen industries such as Chemicals, Marine & Shipping, Semiconductors, and other high-growth markets, creating a sustainable and profitable client portfolio.
• Lead Business Development Activities: Generate new business opportunities through proactive client engagement, market mapping, networking, and consultative sales approaches across target sectors.
• Drive Revenue & Profitability: Take full ownership of business performance, delivering against agreed revenue targets while building a scalable and profitable permanent recruitment operation.
• Recruit, Develop & Lead a Team: Hire, mentor, and manage recruitment consultants with the objective of establishing a minimum two-consultant permanent recruitment team within the first 12 months.
• Build Strategic Client Partnerships: Develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders, providing market intelligence, talent insights, and recruitment solutions that support client growth.
• Collaborate Across the Business: Work closely with regional and global teams to leverage existing relationships, share market knowledge, and identify opportunities for expansion.
• Create Market Expansion Opportunities: Establish a successful Singapore platform with the potential to expand sector coverage regionally as market demand and business growth opportunities develop.

• Leadership Experience: Proven success leading recruitment teams, business units, or specialist recruitment desks within a permanent recruitment environment.
• Recruitment Expertise: Strong background in permanent recruitment with a track record of delivering consistent revenue growth and commercial success.
• Business Development Skills: Demonstrated ability to win new business, develop strategic client relationships, and build sustainable revenue streams.
• Market Knowledge: Experience recruiting within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, life sciences, chemicals, marine, shipping, semiconductor, or other relevant specialist sectors.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter who thrives in building new markets, creating opportunities, and driving business growth.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of recruitment metrics, profitability, market trends, and business planning.
• People Leadership Capability: Experience hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing recruitment consultants.
