Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Carry out hose cutting, skiving, crimping, and assembly in accordance with specified requirements.
Identify and select the appropriate hoses, fittings, ferrules, thread types, and sizes for each job.
Safely operate and maintain hose cutting and crimping machines, compressors, and other related equipment.
Interpret technical drawings and job specifications, and perform accurate hose measurement and marking.
Conduct quality inspections on completed hose assemblies and perform pressure testing when required.
Oversee daily fabrication activities, ensure smooth workflow, and promptly report any defects, delays, or operational issues.
Comply with workplace safety procedures, use the required PPE, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Keep accurate production, measurement, and testing records while supporting inventory control and warehouse operations.
Hold a Diploma, NITEC, or relevant technical qualification, with
2–5 years of experience
in hose fabrication or a similar industrial environment.
Demonstrate good technical knowledge, attention to detail, problem-solving and multitasking abilities, with flexibility to work shifts and overtime when required.
Requirements
Diploma, NITEC, or relevant technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum
2–5 years of relevant experience
in hose fabrication or a similar industrial environment.
Hands-on experience operating hose cutting and crimping machines.
Good knowledge of different hose types, fittings, and measurement tools.
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Experience in hydraulic systems and knowledge of pressure testing standards would be an advantage.
Possess basic machinery troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
Detail-oriented with good problem-solving, multitasking, and organisational abilities.
Physically fit, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Able to work shifts and willing to perform overtime when required.
