Job Overview

We're looking for a passionate and player-focused Community Operations Specialist to manage and grow the MLBB Malaysia community. You'll be responsible for community engagement, moderation, player feedback, community activities and community insights, helping to create a positive and engaging experience for Malaysian players.

Key Responsibilities

Community Operations & Engagement

• Manage and engage MLBB Malaysia's community platforms, including Discord, Facebook Groups, WhatsApp, and other relevant channels.
• Plan and execute online and offline community activities to strengthen player engagement.
• Develop and maintain community SOPs, moderation guidelines, and engagement workflows.
• Work with moderators to ensure smooth daily community operations and a positive community environment.

Community Insights & Player Feedback

• Monitor community discussions, player feedback, and sentiment across platforms.
• Identify recurring concerns, emerging trends, and potential community issues.
• Consolidate player feedback into actionable insights for internal teams.
• Support game updates and campaigns by providing community sentiment and feedback reports.

Community Strategy & Localization

• Develop initiatives to grow and strengthen the MLBB Malaysia community.
• Identify opportunities to increase community participation and engagement.
• Ensure community initiatives are relevant to Malaysian culture, trends, and player behaviour.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Social Media, Game Operations, and other internal teams on community initiatives.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in community management, community operations, customer engagement, or a related field.
• Passion for gaming, esports, or online communities.
• Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good understanding of gaming communities and platforms such as Discord, Facebook Groups, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with community data, feedback, and basic reporting.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to improve workflow, analyze feedback, or generate insights is an advantage.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience managing gaming or entertainment communities.
• Experience organizing online or offline community events.
• Experience working with moderators or community volunteers.
• Familiarity with social listening, sentiment analysis, or community management tools.
• Understanding of the Malaysian gaming and esports landscape.
