️ Stage Manager & Emcee
Event Details:
Location: Marina Bay Sands (MBS)
Dates: 9 – 12 November 2026
Shift Timings:
8:00 AM – 6 PM
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a confident, unflappable Stage Manager who is also a natural Emcee to run the stage for our upcoming 3-day event.
You will be the backbone of the show — keeping speakers on time, the audience engaged, and the production running smoothly from doors open to final applause.
You'll manage everything happening on and around the stage and step up to the mic to host, transition, and energize the room.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Stage Management
Ensure speakers are mic'd, briefed, and waiting in the wings on time· Enforce timing using confidence monitor cues (5 min / 1 min / hard stop)·
Manage stage setup, resets, water, props, and awards/trophies· Troubleshoot live issues calmly (mic failures, no-shows, overruns, tech glitches)
Duties
Open and close each day with energy and clarity· Deliver housekeeping announcements (WiFi, restrooms, safety, phone silence)
Introduce speakers using provided bios and scripts
Moderate Q&A sessions and panel discussions
Manage audience energy — especially after lunch and during transitions
Handle spontaneous moments with professionalism
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a Stage Manager and/or Emcee at conferences, festivals, corporate events, or similar
Excellent public speaking and crowd-reading skills· Calm under pressure — you don't panic when things go wrong
Strong organizational skills and attention to timing
Comfortable with headsets, radios, cue systems, and AV coordination
Ability to work long days (approx. 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily, plus setup)
Available for all three days (10–12 Nov) plus a rehearsal/briefing on [date, 9 Nov]
