Full Time Senior Manager- Assistant Director (Enterprise Risk Management) Jobs, in Singapore Institute Of Technology - Maukerja

We are seeking an experienced enterprise risk management professional to lead and strengthen the University’s Enterprise Risk Management programme. In this role, you will work closely with senior management and stakeholders across the University to enhance institutional resilience, promote risk-informed decision-making, and embed effective risk management practices into strategic and operational processes. You will also provide clear and actionable risk insights to support management and governance committees.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and continuous enhancement of the University’s Enterprise Risk Management framework, policies, methodologies, tools, templates, risk taxonomy, rating criteria and reporting standards.
• Drive the enterprise risk review cycle, including the maintenance of risk registers, risk appetite statements, key risk indicators, dashboards and management reports.
• Monitor internal and external developments to identify emerging risks, evolving threats and cross-cutting vulnerabilities that may affect the University.
• Assess risks associated with new programmes, initiatives, third-party engagements and key institutional processes, and recommend appropriate controls and mitigation measures.
• Analyse operational risk incidents and significant events to identify root causes, systemic themes and opportunities to strengthen organisational controls and resilience.
• Synthesise complex information into clear risk insights, assessments and recommendations for senior management and governance forums.
• Partner academic and corporate stakeholders to facilitate risk discussions, support mitigation planning and strengthen ownership and accountability for risks.
• Design and deliver briefings, workshops and capability-building initiatives to enhance risk literacy and promote a positive risk culture across the University.
• Support engagements with auditors, consultants, government agencies and governance bodies on matters relating to risk, assurance, resilience and compliance.
• Contribute to the integration of Enterprise Risk Management with business continuity, crisis preparedness, compliance, internal controls, strategic planning and performance monitoring.
• Lead or support secretariat responsibilities for key management committees, including agenda planning, review of meeting materials, preparation of briefing points and oversight of meeting records.
• Direct the planning and delivery of selected high-profile University events, and ensure appropriate follow-through on agreed outcomes and actions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, and mentor junior colleagues where required.

Job Requirements

• A recognised university degree.
• At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in enterprise risk management or a related field, preferably within higher education, the public sector or a complex matrix organisation.
• A postgraduate qualification or professional certification in risk management, internal audit, business continuity, governance or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, risk appetite, key risk indicators, risk registers, mitigation planning, assurance processes and management reporting.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and translate it into clear, practical and actionable recommendations.
• Excellent writing, presentation, facilitation, stakeholder engagement and project leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and work effectively with senior management and diverse stakeholders.
• High standards of integrity, discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive institutional information.
• An awareness of regional and global developments that may affect higher education, technology, partnerships, sustainability, safety, cybersecurity and institutional resilience would be valuable.
