Job Summary

To develop and maintain strong relationships with travel agents and tour operators, generate hotel business and achieve room revenue targets from the travel trade segment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain good relationships with travel agents, tour operators and travel trade partners.
• Identify and develop new travel agent accounts and business opportunities.
• Conduct sales calls, client visits, presentations and regular follow-ups with travel agents.
• Promote the hotel’s rooms, packages, facilities and services to travel trade partners.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and room revenue from the travel agent segment.
• Handle enquiries, quotations, rates and business negotiations with travel agents.
• Monitor bookings and business production from assigned accounts.
• Work closely with Reservations, Front Office and other departments to ensure smooth handling of travel agent bookings and groups.
• Organise and participate in sales activities, travel fairs, roadshows, familiarisation trips and industry events.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and travel agent requirements.
• Prepare sales reports, account updates and business forecasts as required.
• Ensure good follow-up on potential business and maintain accurate records of accounts.
• Assist in handling travel agent groups, VIPs and special requests when required.
• Perform other sales and marketing duties assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in hotel sales or the travel industry.
• Experience handling travel agents, tour operators or wholesale accounts will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of the local travel market and hotel industry.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Other languages will be an advantage.
• Able to work independently, meet sales targets and build strong client relationships.
• Willing to travel for sales calls, client visits, roadshows and other business activities.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation will be an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
