Job Description

Responsibilities

We’re looking for an experienced Energy Engineer to support site-wide energy management, sustainability, utilities optimisation and cost-reduction initiatives within a manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support and drive site energy efficiency and energy conservation programmes
  • Identify, analyse and implement opportunities to reduce energy consumption, utility costs and environmental impact
  • Conduct energy audits, evaluate energy-saving options and recommend practical improvement solutions
  • Manage energy-related projects from planning through implementation, ensuring delivery within timeline, budget, safety and quality requirements
  • Monitor and analyse energy performance indicators, utility consumption and project savings, and recommend mitigation actions where required
  • Support the site’s computerized energy monitoring system and use data to identify efficiency improvement opportunities
  • Work closely with maintenance and utilities teams to improve equipment efficiency and ensure effective preventive and predictive maintenance programmes
  • Prepare and monitor utility budgets, actual spending, energy-saving initiatives and cost-reduction targets
  • Support the development of annual and long-term energy capital projects and maintain a pipeline of energy conservation initiatives
  • Coordinate the implementation of energy projects while minimising impact to manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, engineering teams, subject matter experts and external partners on energy improvement initiatives
  • Promote energy awareness and good energy management practices across the organisation
  • Support engineering services activities relating to process engineering, equipment validation, utilities and site operations


Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 5–20 years of relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, consultancy or a related industry
  • Strong project management experience, particularly in complex or cross-functional projects
  • Good understanding of utilities, maintenance, equipment efficiency and energy management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of cGMP, SHE and relevant engineering regulations would be advantageous
  • Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) preferred
