Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Daily Salon Operations
Oversee the daily opening, operations and closing of the salon.
Monitor appointments, walk-ins and staff availability throughout the day.
Coordinate staff allocation to ensure clients are attended to promptly and fairly.
Manage peak periods and make operational adjustments when required.
Escalate operational issues to Management promptly.
2. Team Supervision & Discipline
Supervise staff attendance, punctuality, grooming and professional conduct.
Encourage teamwork and prevent disagreements or internal discussions from affecting the client experience.
Ensure staff follow assigned duties, responsibilities and salon SOPs.
3. Client Experience
Check that services are being delivered according to salon standards.
Handle client concerns professionally and work towards an immediate service recovery where appropriate.
Maintain a calm and professional salon environment at all times.
4. Appointments & Walk-In Management
Coordinate appointments, walk-ins, staff availability and room availability.
Ensure client records and appointment information are accurately maintained.
5. Sales & Retail Performance
Monitor the team's daily service and retail sales performance.
Encourage appropriate service upgrades, add-ons and retail recommendations.
Track progress towards individual and salon sales targets.
Identify opportunities to improve client retention.
6. Service Quality & SOP Compliance
Ensure all services are performed according to salon's approved procedures and timings.
Conduct regular spot checks on service quality.
Support new staff during their training and integration into salon operations.
7. Hygiene, Safety & Equipment
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the salon.
Monitor product and equipment handling to minimise wastage or damage.
8. Stock & Inventory Control
Monitor daily usage of professional products, consumables and retail stock.
Assist with stock counts and inventory reconciliation when required.
