Couples & Individual Therapy

We’re looking for an experienced Counsellor / Psychologist with a strong background in couples therapy to join our team as a Freelance Associate.

The practitioner should be confident working with couples and relationship dynamics, while also being comfortable supporting individual clients.

We’re particularly interested in practitioners who bring a trauma-informed lens to their work and understand how trauma, attachment and past relational experiences can show up within intimate relationships.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience
• Demonstrated experience working with couples
• Comfortable working with relationship conflict, communication difficulties, attachment concerns and complex relational dynamics
• Experience working with individual clients
• Training and/or experience in trauma-informed practice
• Appropriate professional membership or registration where applicable
• Strong clinical judgement, ethical practice and professional boundaries

Highly Preferred

Training or substantial experience in recognised couples therapy approaches, such as Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Imago Relationship Therapy or other couples-focused modalities.

Training in trauma-focused modalities, such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, IFS or Trauma-Focused CBT, would also be an advantage.
