Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Assistant Manager to support the Caregiving team in driving key initiatives that strengthen caregiver support systems, service coordination, and partnerships within the healthcare and community care sector. You will be part of the Caregiving Team in Caregiving and Community Mental Health Division.

  • Design and develop caregiver support initiatives and pilot programmes to address evolving caregiver needs and strengthen preparedness across different caregiving journeys.
  • Conduct caregiver and landscape assessments to identify caregiver needs, barriers, motivations, service gaps and emerging trends across the care ecosystem.
  • Develop and refine caregiver service models, frameworks and operating approaches in collaboration with government agencies, AIC divisions and community care partners.
  • Strengthen caregiver access to support through enhancements to service navigation pathways, caregiver resources and support tools.
  • Drive initiatives related to respite, contingency and future care planning, including understanding the landscape of nursing homes, transitional care facilities and day care centres that provide respite support.
  • Plan and implement caregiver programmes and partnerships, working with community care providers and stakeholders to strengthen service coordination and support offerings.
  • Support programme governance and performance management, including budgeting, financial planning, cashflow management, utilisation monitoring, implementation reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support policy, strategy and evaluation work, including stakeholder engagement, data analysis, development of management papers and presentations, programme evaluations, and formulation of evidence-based recommendations to improve caregiver outcomes.

Job requirements

  • Recognised Bachelor Degree, preferably in a social work, social science or healthcare-related discipline, with preferably at least 3 years of experience in healthcare, social or community care sectors.
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders, including Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), cross-sector agencies, service providers, and philanthropic organisations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, proactive, responsible and can work in fast changing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good project management skills
