Job Description
1. Teaching & Classroom Engagement
- Conduct engaging and interactive Reading classes based on the Enrichment Academy curriculum.
- Plan, supervise, and implement the Reading programme for the class in accordance with the policies, guidelines, framework, and teaching philosophy.
- Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment to support students' academic development, confidence, and love for learning.
- Always use positive guidance strategies and techniques.
- Assess and track students’ progress, providing feedback to parents when required.
- Keep accurate records of the students’ academic progress and performance.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with the students and their parents.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and conducive learning atmosphere.
- Prepare subject-appropriate and age-appropriate teaching aids and implement the programs in class.
- Deliver lessons that are engaging and aligned with the learning needs of the students.
2. Curriculum Preparation & Teacher Support
- Prepare teaching materials, worksheets, and lesson resources in advance.
- Print and organize curriculum materials for weekend classes.
- Review and refine lesson plans to ensure they align with the learning objectives of the enrichment programmes.
- Manage and update student records, progress reports, and other documentation.
- Assist in resource management, ensuring all teaching materials are well-stocked and in good condition.
- Conduct periodic reviews of the curriculum and suggest improvements based on classroom experience.
- Provide training or guidance to part -time trainers or assistant teachers if required.
3. Associate Trainer & Administrative Support
- Collect and verify Associate Trainers' & Trainer Assist monthly timesheets and submit to Centre Manager for monthly payroll.
- Arrange relief Associate Trainers when necessary.
- Keep track of Associate Trainers' performance and provide reports (e.g., feedback for improvement, incentive entitlements).
4. Centre & Event Support
- Support holiday programmes and events at the centre when needed.
- Assist with open houses, trial classes, and parent engagement sessions.
- Coordinate with the Centre Manager and administrative team on class schedules and student placements.
- Provide ad-hoc assistance for centre operations and activities.
Job Requirements:
- A passion for teaching and working with primary school children.
- A diploma or degree in any discipline, with preference for Education or related academic fields.
- Minimum of 3 year’s classroom teaching experience with young students (aged 3 to 8 years old).
- Creative and inspiring personality with dynamic and energetic lesson delivery skills.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Knowledge in educational pedagogy and child development relevant to young learners.
- Must be able to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) as core teaching days.
- Strong organizational and time -management skills for lesson preparation during weekdays.
