Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead restaurant operations, drive business growth, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and develop high-performing teams with a focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Business & Financial Management

• Lead restaurant operations to achieve profitability and business growth.
• Develop and execute business strategies to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Monitor and control sales performance, labour costs, food costs, and operating expenses.
• Prepare and analyse monthly Profit & Loss reports to identify and implement improvement plans.
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans aligned with company goals.

Operations Management

• Manage day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, cleanliness, and service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore food safety, workplace safety, and licensing regulations.
• Conduct regular operational audits and implement corrective actions to address issues.
• Oversee inventory management, procurement processes, and cost control measures.

Guest Experience

• Deliver exceptional customer service to maintain high guest satisfaction levels.
• Resolve customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Develop initiatives to enhance the dining experience and encourage repeat business.

Leadership & People Development

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop restaurant managers and service teams to build capabilities.
• Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on accountability and teamwork.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify career development opportunities for staff.
• Prepare staff schedules and manpower plans based on business needs.

Sales & Marketing

• Develop and implement marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive sales.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing partners to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, hygiene standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain workplace health and safety standards.
• Oversee proper maintenance of restaurant facilities and equipment.

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience, including at least 2 years in senior leadership or General Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, financial management, and customer service.
• Experience managing budgets, P&L, labour costs, inventory, and operational KPIs.
• Proven leadership skills to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in casual dining, premium dining, or restaurant group operations.
• Knowledge of Singapore food safety regulations and employment practices.
• Wine and beverage knowledge or WSET certification (advantageous but not mandatory).
• Experience with POS systems and restaurant management software.
