Responsibilities

Trade Support / Settlements Analyst – Energy Trading (Singapore)

A leading global energy trading MNC is seeking a Trade Support / Settlements Analyst to join its Singapore team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a highly international business at the forefront of the energy transition.

The Firm

Our client is a major player in global energy markets, managing a large and diversified portfolio across power, natural gas, LNG, and environmental products. With a strong presence across Europe, APAC, and the Americas, the business supports a broad client base spanning producers, utilities, financial institutions, and industrials.

The Role

Reporting to the Team Lead, you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end trade lifecycle, supporting front office activities, and ensuring operational excellence across traded products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full trade lifecycle for OTC and exchange-traded transactions
  • Validate trade bookings and issue confirmations to counterparties
  • Generate and reconcile cashflows, invoices, and settlements
  • Monitor collateral and margining processes
  • Reconcile trades with exchanges/clearing brokers
  • Maintain trading data (fixings, calendars, static data)
  • Partner closely with Front Office and cross-functional teams
  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives (incl. VBA tools)

Requirements

  • 2–5 years’ experience in commodities trading, trade support, or operations
  • Exposure to derivatives (Oil & Gas preferred); LNG knowledge is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with a risk-control mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced trading environment
  • Good systems knowledge; VBA or automation skills preferred
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
