We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and results-driven IGCSE Accounting Teacher / Tutor to join our academic team. In this role, you will guide secondary school students through the IGCSE Accounting syllabus, helping them build solid foundational accounting skills, master exam techniques, and achieve top grades.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons adhering strictly to the latest Cambridge IGCSE Accounting syllabus.

Exam Preparation: Conduct intensive past-year paper drills, analyze examiner reports, and teach practical answering techniques and mark-scheme strategies.

Concept Mastery: Simplify core accounting principles (e.g., double-entry bookkeeping, trial balances, ledger adjustments, financial statements, ratio analysis, and correction of errors) to ensure complete student understanding.

Student Assessment: Monitor student progress through regular quizzes, assignments, and mock examinations; provide constructive and timely feedback.

Parent Communication: Provide periodic updates on student performance, areas of improvement, and academic milestones to parents/guardians.

Classroom Management: Maintain a disciplined, interactive, and encouraging learning environment (both physical and/or online).

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Education, or a related field. Professional qualifications (such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ICAEW) or ongoing pursuit thereof will be highly regarded.

Teaching Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience teaching or tutoring IGCSE Accounting (Cambridge syllabus preferred).

Track Record: A proven history of helping students improve their academic performance and achieve distinctions (A/A*) is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

Syllabus Expertise: In-depth knowledge of current IGCSE Accounting exam formats, assessment objectives, and marking rubrics.

Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Pedagogical Skills: Ability to break down complex financial concepts into structured, digestible lessons for teenage learners.

Professional Attributes: Highly responsible, punctual, patient, and committed to student development.

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using modern teaching aids, interactive whiteboards, or online teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom) if hybrid classes are required.
