Role Description The Project Lead is a contract role responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering Govtech and Fintech projects from initiation through completion. This hybrid role is based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining project scope and timelines, managing cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, and ensuring that deliverables meet quality and compliance standards. The Project Lead will facilitate stakeholder communication, track risks and issues, and prepare regular status reports to keep leadership and partners informed. The role also includes optimizing project workflows, supporting change management activities, and ensuring that solutions remain focused on inclusive, user-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with technical, product, and business stakeholders at least in 3 years.
• Background in Govtech, Fintech, or digital transformation projects, with an understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable information.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously and deliver within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including using digital collaboration tools to coordinate on-site and remote team members.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Public Policy) or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with government agencies, financial institutions, or public service organizations is an advantage.
