The Test Lead is responsible for leading and managing the testing lifecycle across projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables through effective planning, execution, and coordination of testing activities. The role requires ownership of test strategy, coordination of QA teams, and close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.

• Performs, monitors, and reports the test execution progress and the overall quality experience of the target test system to the stakeholders. 
•  Lead and co-ordinate test execution activities across the test team to ensure that execution progress meets the required timelines. 
• Produce test strategy, test plans and review the test coverage, and test cases produced by the test analysts and conduct walkthroughs with respective business stakeholders to validate scope and approach.
• Execute test cases as per the agreed test plans, log and retest defects as necessary, using the appropriate test tools. 
• Assist with root cause analyses and troubleshooting of defects and ensure test environments are set up and available. 
• Act as primary QA contact for release readiness, risk assessment, and sign-off.
•  Provide mentorship and support to the test team. Conduct peer reviews to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and best practices.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 
• 10 years & above of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Software Testing, with a minimum of 2 years of experience as Test Lead.
• Strong understanding of all testing types across complex enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with front end, API, backend and database testing.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, ALM).

Preferred:

• Prior experience in the Life/General Insurance industry or on insurance-related projects.
• Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks.
