About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Microservices Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and supporting scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have experience building cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, REST APIs , and modern DevOps practices within a fast-paced banking environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical digital banking platforms and high-volume transaction processing systems for a leading financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
• Build and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java 8/11/17 , Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs for internal and external system integrations.
• Implement event-driven solutions using Kafka and messaging technologies.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and secure code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Support CI/CD implementation and deployment automation.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of applications and databases.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with: Java 8/11/17Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, Kafka, SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
• Good understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking or Financial Services industry experience.
• Experience with: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS / Azure Cloud
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Experience with Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT authentication.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as ELK, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
