Full Time Retail Associate Jobs, Salary up to SGD 2,500 in SOILBOY PTE. LTD. Islandwide (Singapore) - Maukerja

Soilboy is looking for a Retail Associate to join our retail team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited for someone who enjoys working with plants, people and thoughtfully designed products.

As part of the retail team, you will be involved in the day-to-day running of the store, from assisting customers and caring for our plants to maintaining product displays, fulfilling orders and supporting workshops and other store activities.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Welcome and assist customers in-store.
• Understand customers' needs and recommend suitable plants, pots and products.
• Develop good knowledge of Soilboy's products and basic plant care to provide accurate recommendations.
• Process purchases and assist with customer enquiries and after-sales support.

Plant Care & Product Maintenance

• Carry out routine plant care, including watering, cleaning, pruning and monitoring plant condition.
• Maintain the presentation and condition of plants, pots and merchandise on the retail floor.
• Assist with basic plant-related services such as repotting and plant diagnosis after training.
• Flag plant health or maintenance issues to the relevant team member when necessary.

Retail Operations

• Support daily store opening and closing procedures.
• Receive, unpack, organise and replenish stock.
• Maintain accurate product displays, pricing and inventory organisation.
• Fulfill and pack online and in-store orders.
• Keep the retail and work areas clean, organised and presentable.
• Support stocktakes and other operational tasks as required.

Workshops & Store Activities

• Assist with the preparation, setup and cleanup of workshops and events.
• Prepare materials and plants required for workshop sessions.
• Support facilitators and participants during workshops where required.

What We're Looking For

• Comfortable working in a customer-facing retail environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, organised and attentive to detail.
• Willing to learn about plants, plant care and Soilboy's products.
• Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
• Comfortable with hands-on work, including moving plants, pots, stock and workshop materials as part of regular store operations.
• Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays according to the roster.

Prior retail or plant-related experience is helpful but not essential. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, willingness to learn and ability to take ownership of their responsibilities.

For Retail Associates, this may include developing deeper expertise in areas such as plant care and diagnosis, customer experience, retail operations, visual merchandising, workshops, or other areas of the business.

Team members who demonstrate strong plant knowledge and competency may also progress towards a Retail & Plant Care Specialist role after completing at least 6 months of training and development as a Retail Associate.
