Responsibilities

Role Description

The WorkDay Integration Consultant will work on-site in Greater Kuala Lumpur in a contract capacity, collaborating with clients and internal teams to design, build, and optimize Workday integrations. This role involves analyzing business requirements, configuring and testing integration solutions, and ensuring reliable data exchange between Workday and external systems. The consultant will handle integration workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, manage EDI-related interfaces, and support deployment activities in alignment with project timelines. The position also includes documenting integration designs, providing knowledge transfer to client stakeholders, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to maintain integration performance and compliance.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and support Workday integrations with internal and third-party systems.
  • Develop integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, PICOF, and Workday Web Services.
  • Work with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, JSON, and web services for system integration.
  • Develop inbound and outbound integrations for HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and Finance modules.
  • Perform integration testing, troubleshooting, error handling, monitoring, and production support.
  • Collaborate with HR, business, security, and technical teams to understand integration requirements.
  • Develop and maintain integration specifications, technical documentation, mappings, and support procedures.
  • Manage integration deployments across DEV, TEST, and PROD environments.
  • Ensure integrations follow security, data privacy, and enterprise integration standards.

Required Skills

  • 5–8 years of experience in Workday Integration / Workday Technical roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio and EIB.
  • Experience with Core Connectors, PECI/PICOF, Workday APIs and Web Services.
  • Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, XSLT, JSON.
  • Experience integrating Workday with HRMS, Payroll, ERP, IAM, or third-party applications.
  • Good understanding of Workday HCM data and business processes.
  • Experience with integration troubleshooting, monitoring, and production support.
  • Knowledge of Workday Security and integration security is an advantage.
