Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Lead to lead and support the delivery and operation of enterprise infrastructure environments. This is a hands-on technical leadership role covering servers, networks, storage, virtualization, operating systems and infrastructure security.

The successful candidate will provide technical direction to the infrastructure team, oversee implementation and operational activities, manage major incidents, and ensure infrastructure services meet security, compliance and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and guide the infrastructure team, including work allocation, technical mentoring and delivery oversight.
• Provide technical direction and quality assurance across infrastructure implementation and operational activities.
• Review infrastructure solutions and ensure technical work is completed according to established standards and requirements.
• Coordinate priorities across operational support, project implementation and infrastructure enhancement activities.

Infrastructure Implementation & Operations

• Oversee the design, configuration and deployment of enterprise infrastructure covering network, server, storage, virtualization and operating system platforms.
• Lead the implementation and configuration of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, storage and network environments.
• Support the deployment and configuration of related infrastructure components, including database and clustering technologies.
• Oversee backup, endpoint protection and other infrastructure supporting solutions.
• Review implementation activities and critical operational changes to ensure successful delivery.

Security, Compliance & Lifecycle Management

• Ensure infrastructure environments meet security hardening and baseline compliance requirements.
• Coordinate vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security improvement activities.
• Manage infrastructure patching, upgrades and technology lifecycle activities.
• Support risk management, compliance reviews and audit readiness.

Incident & Operational Management

• Take the technical lead during major infrastructure incidents and coordinate teams toward timely service restoration.
• Drive root cause analysis and follow-up corrective actions for major incidents.
• Manage technical escalations and ensure infrastructure issues are properly tracked through resolution.
• Support infrastructure validation, testing and operational readiness before production handover.

Documentation & Stakeholder Management

• Ensure technical documentation, configuration records, operating procedures and runbooks are maintained and kept current.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and project teams on infrastructure implementation and operational matters.
• Provide operational updates, technical reporting and governance support.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure infrastructure solutions are ready for ongoing operational support.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience leading or providing technical direction to infrastructure engineers.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, storage and networking technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure deployment, configuration, troubleshooting and operational support.
• Knowledge of backup solutions, antivirus/endpoint security, database and clustering technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure security hardening, vulnerability remediation and patch management.
• Strong experience handling technical escalations and major infrastructure incidents.
• Familiar with root cause analysis, operational readiness, technical documentation and runbooks.
• Experience working with vendors, project teams and business stakeholders.
• Good understanding of infrastructure governance, risk, compliance and audit requirements.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
