Trustethica is a startup building purpose-anchored, contextual AI governance infrastructure for regulated organisations. The platform connects authorised business purpose, live AI behaviour and enterprise risk so organisations can govern AI continuously and create defensible evidence of how it operates in practice.

This program is designed for people who want meaningful applied experience, not an internship built around routine administration or passive observation. We are opening applications for two paid internship tracks - Business Development & Technical.

Duration: 3 months

Stipend: MYR 1,000 per month

Eligibility: Final-year university students and fresh graduates

Working model: Flexible and deliverable-led

Prior professional experience is not required. We care about the skills, judgement and learning ability you can demonstrate through university work, personal projects, research, portfolios, GitHub, student organisations, freelance work or self-directed learning.

How the program works

Your work will be structured around agreed deliverables rather than fixed daily hours. Before each workstream begins, we will agree:

• The objective and scope
• The outputs you will own
• What good looks like and how quality will be assessed
• Milestones and delivery dates
• Expected collaboration windows and an indicative effort level
• The information, tools and coaching you will receive

We will provide context, examples, practical coaching and milestone feedback. You will be responsible for producing useful work, communicating progress clearly and escalating blockers early.

Flexibility does not reduce accountability. It allows us to focus on what you learn, produce and improve rather than how many hours you appear online.

Track 1: Business Development

This track is for someone interested in enterprise technology, commercial strategy, research, customer development, partnerships or content. You may work on:

• Market, sector, account and competitor research
• Buyer, stakeholder and use-case analysis
• Developing focused outbound, partnership or content campaigns
• Creating pitch materials, briefing notes, outreach sequences, case-study concepts or LinkedIn content

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong research and synthesis skills
• Clear, concise business writing
• Confident and thoughtful communication
• Comfort using spreadsheets and digital tools
• Commercial curiosity and an ability to understand complex ideas
• Attention to detail, ownership and dependable follow-through
• Basic visual, presentation or content-production capability is useful, but not essential

Track 2: Technical

This track is for someone interested in software engineering, product development, data, cloud, AI/ML, testing or technical research. You may work on:

• Frontend, backend, API, database, data-processing or cloud tasks
• Automated testing, quality assurance and reproducible test workflows
• Technical documentation, architecture records or developer workflows
• Technical research relating to AI behaviour, telemetry, governance logic, risk signals or evidence generation

We are looking for someone with:

• Sound fundamentals in one or more of software engineering, web development, APIs, databases, cloud, data, AI/ML or testing
• The ability to investigate problems, debug and learn from technical documentation
• An understanding of readable, testable and maintainable work
• Security, privacy and responsible AI awareness
• Evidence of capability through university, personal, open-source or other technical projects
