CABINET PRODUCTION FACTORY SUPERVISOR / ASSISTANT

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Cabinet Production Factory Supervisor / Assistant to support and oversee the daily operations of our cabinet production factory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production activities, monitoring workmanship and quality, checking materials and cabinet components, and ensuring all projects are completed accurately and according to the required production schedule.

The role requires close coordination with the Design, Production, Installation and Management teams to minimize production errors, delays, missing items and installation issues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Coordination

Monitor and coordinate daily cabinet production activities.

Ensure production follows approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.

Arrange production priorities according to installation and delivery schedules.

Follow up on the progress of each project and report any delays or issues.

Coordinate with carpenters, machine operators and other factory workers.

2. Drawing & Production Checking

Review production drawings before fabrication.

Check cabinet dimensions, materials, colours, quantities and specifications.

Ensure the latest approved drawing/revision is used for production.

Highlight unclear or incorrect information to the relevant Designer or Project PIC before production begins.

Prevent production based on outdated or unconfirmed drawings.

3. Quality Control (QC)

Inspect cabinet carcasses, doors, panels and components during and after production.

Check dimensions, workmanship, finishing, edging, drilling and assembly quality.

Identify scratches, damages, colour differences, incorrect sizes and other defects.

Ensure defects are rectified before delivery to site.

Conduct final factory QC before cabinets are packed and delivered.

4. Material & Hardware Checking

Check availability of boards, doors, hardware and accessories required for each project.

Ensure the correct materials and colours are used.

Check hinges, drawer runners, handles, LED accessories and other fittings according to project requirements.

Report shortages or incorrect materials immediately.

Assist in controlling material wastage and unnecessary usage.

5. Packing & Delivery Preparation

Ensure all cabinet components are properly labelled according to project/site.

Check that all items are complete before loading.

Ensure finished products are properly protected to prevent damage during transportation.

Prepare or verify packing/checking lists before delivery.

Coordinate with the delivery and installation teams.

6. Installation Support

Ensure installers receive the correct drawings, cabinets, panels, hardware and accessories.

Follow up on missing or incorrect items reported by the installation team.

Coordinate factory rectification or remake items when required.

Assist in resolving production-related site issues quickly to avoid installation delays.

7. Factory Management

Maintain cleanliness, organization and proper workflow within the production area.

Ensure tools, machines and materials are properly handled and stored.

Monitor workers’ productivity and work quality.

Assist management in improving production efficiency and reducing mistakes.

Ensure workers follow factory safety procedures.

8. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain production progress records for ongoing projects.

Prepare QC/defect reports when necessary.

Record remake items, damaged items and production mistakes.

Report recurring production problems to management.

Provide regular updates on production status, delays and urgent issues.

Requirements

Experience in cabinetry, carpentry, furniture manufacturing or interior fit-out production is preferred.

Able to understand cabinet drawings and basic measurements.

Good knowledge of cabinet materials, hardware and production processes is an advantage.

Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.

Able to identify production and workmanship problems.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to work closely with designers, carpenters, installers and management.

Able to work independently and solve problems effectively.

Basic computer knowledge is an advantage.

Fresh candidates with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered for the Factory Assistant position.

Employment Type: Long Term Full-Time
