Job Summary
The Senior Executive, Project Development is responsible for leading and overseeing the company’s property development initiatives, from strategic planning and feasibility assessment through to project completion. The role involves managing development projects, budgets, financial planning, project teams, and property portfolios while ensuring timely delivery, quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic goals and long-term plans for the company’s property development initiatives.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of development projects, including feasibility studies, design, budgeting, execution, and completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Engage with government agencies, regulatory bodies, community stakeholders, and investors to secure approvals, build partnerships, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Ensure full compliance with zoning laws, development regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- Develop and manage project budgets, financial models, and forecasts, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Promote and integrate sustainable practices and environmentally friendly standards into development projects.
- Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Oversee and manage property portfolios, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines, effective risk management, and smooth coordination with government agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with business priorities.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant working experience in project development, real estate development, construction, project management, infrastructure development, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing development projects from feasibility and planning through to completion.
- Experience in managing project budgets, financial models, contractors, consultants, and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in liaising with government agencies, regulatory authorities, consultants, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in property portfolio management and development planning would be an added advantage.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or other relevant disciplines.
- A Master’s Degree or relevant professional qualification would be an added advantage.
Technical & Professional Competencies
- Strong knowledge of property development, construction/project management, and development processes.
- Good understanding of planning approvals, zoning requirements, development regulations, building codes, and relevant statutory requirements.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, financial modelling, cost control, and project feasibility analysis.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within scope, budget, quality, and timeline.
