Professional Job Description

The Equity Research Analyst will conduct fundamental and industry research to support investment decisions and provide high-quality equity research to institutional investors. The role involves analysing company financials, industry trends, market developments, and investment opportunities while preparing research reports and communicating investment insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct fundamental analysis of companies under coverage, including financial statements, earnings, business models, and valuation.

Analyse industry trends, macroeconomic developments, competitive dynamics, and factors affecting company performance.

Prepare detailed equity research reports, investment recommendations, company updates, and financial analysis for institutional investors.

Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, valuation models, and company databases.

Monitor corporate announcements, earnings releases, management developments, and other market information.

Interact with company management, industry participants, investors, and internal teams to gather information and develop investment insights.

Support client meetings, investor presentations, research projects, and other activities within the equity research team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, asset management, securities, or financial analysis is preferred.

Strong understanding of financial markets, equity valuation, financial statements, and investment analysis.

Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Python, or SQL is an advantage.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced financial-services environment.

Pay: $5,500.00 - $9,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Downtown Core
