This opportunity sits with one of the leading organisations in the Financial Services industry, operating globally with over 100 years of established presence in Malaysia. They are looking to bring on board a senior cybersecurity professional who is open to pivot into an Internal Audit role.

Your new role

• Act as a technical advisor or role model for the audits focusing on cybersecurity assignments.
  
• Execute the audits based on the approved audit plans - including risk assessment and control management over operations' effectiveness and compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
  
• Take responsibility of the assignment and demonstrate good project management skills when planning for audit assignments, which includes resource allocations and scheduling, communicating objectives to key stakeholders, identifying focus areas, formulating review strategies and ensuring the audits are delivered on time.
  
• Demonstrate the ability to evaluate, synthesise, organise and interpret data and information
  
• Deliver good quality audit assignments in line with GwIA audit methodology, Group requirements and standards, resulting in accurate and complete identification of issues.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proficient in Application security
• Able to perform penetration testing and source code reviews
• Has experience in red and/or purple teaming
• Familiarity with frameworks such as OWASP.
• Proven hands-on skills in Vulnerability Management, especially using tools like Qualys.
• Practical experience in a SOC environment, such as incident detection and response, threat intelligence, and threat hunting.
• Exposure to Data Analytics tools, such as Databricks, is highly desirable.
• Experience with AI and digital assets, particularly in crypto-related startups or firms, would be a major advantage.
